This Technology Park, focused on the Health sector, brings together more than a hundred entities including businesses, research institutes, The University of Granada and Health Care institutions. The variety of entities, each with their own objective but all delivering their activity in the Health sector, provides this program with a wide breath of knowledge and experience to enrich your company and product or service. With the objective of making this sector stronger for Andalusia, a number of these entities are actively participating in this program.

Managing Director of the PTS Granada Foundation

Luis González Ruiz Doctor holds a PhD in Contemporary History from the University of Granada. He has been an associate professor of Economic History at that University for more than 20 years in the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies, with numerous publications related to the economic and business history of Granada and Andalusia. He has also been professionally linked to the financial sector, holding various responsibilities, culminating as Executive Vice President of Caja Granada. He has been a member of several boards of directors in companies such as Caja Granada, Banco Mare Nostrum, ESECA, Certum or Deoleo, among others, and member of several foundations and consortiums. He was Senator for the province of Granada between 2016 and 2019 and Councillor-Deputy Mayor of the City Council of Granada between 2019 and 2023. He is currently the Managing Director of the Fundación Pública Andaluza Parque Tecnológico de la Salud de Granada.

 

Deputy Director of the Andalusian Public Health System- Technology Transfer Office

Pedro Hervás Ballesteros Business Development, Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property professional involved in a very wide range of activities in these areas. Experience in managing new in-licensing / out-licensing opportunities, market analysis and sales forecast, project valuation, collaboration & license agreements drafting and negotiation, submission of research projects to Public Private funding calls (regional, national and international) as well as setting-up of new technology-based companies (spin-offs). With regard to IP, experience in the management of Patent, Trademark and Domains portfolios, including drafting and technical prosecution of applications and drafting of patentability reports. Direct and proactive interaction with the corporate management. 

Managing Director of FIBAO

Sarah Biel Gleenson: is a graduate in Pharmacy and Food Science and Technology, Executive MBA and specialist in international project management, has been for more than a decade, Head of the Project Management and Research Methodology Area of the Andalusian Public Foundation for Biosanitary Research in Eastern Andalusia-Alejandro Otero (FIBAO) and the Institute for Biosanitary Research of Granada (ibs.GRANADA). She has extensive experience in the world of R+D+i, having been director of OTRI for 5 years and managing many independent clinical trials and R+D+i transfer projects. Currently is Managing Director of FIBAO for the last 3 years.

Deputy Director OTRI-UGR

Juan Antonio Muñoz Orellana is responsible for the management of industrial and intellectual property at the University of Granada since 2003. He has been acredited as an Industrial Property Agent since 2015. Specialist in: Patent Management, Knowledge Management, Valorisation, Business Creation, Training in Knowledge Transfer. Since July 2019, Deputy Director of the Office for the Transfer of Research Results of the University of Granada.

Advisor at BIC GRANADA / Agencia TRADE

Carolina Martín is graduated with a Law degree from the University of Granada and has a broad experience in entrepreneurship and Startup and innovation ecosystems in the biotechnology sector. Since 2003, Carolina has been working at BIC Granada, an Incubator and Accelerator in the Health sector, advising companies from the business idea inception through to commercialization. Carolina has been part of the creation and development of the LabToMarket methodology, specially designed to accompany companies from the laboratory to the market, making this path shorter, faster and of course more likely to be successful.

CIO Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Granada

Roberto Álvarez has experience as a technology entrepreneur for more than 20 years, he developed a range of business management software present in more than 15 countries, as well as high-impact projects related to traffic, environmental and eHealth. He has also carried out work as an approved consultant for different entities. Institutionally he has been Vice President of the Andalusian Digital Technology Industry, Secretary of OnGranada TechCity and elected member of the Granada Chamber of Commerce. Roberto is currently Director of Innovation in said Public Corporation
