Dr. Infante obtained his Ph.D. (Microbiology and Biochemistry) from the University of Cádiz, Spain and completed his academic formation with a senior researcher position in the Department of Biochemistry of the University of Washington in Seattle, USA. He joined the biotech private sector in 2007, serving as Chief Scientific Officer of Bionaturis and ADL Bionatur Solutions in Spain. Specialized in the development of biotechnological assets, covering intellectual property, R&D, and licensing, he became CEO of Vaxdyn in November 2013.

Dr. McConnell is a medical doctor from the University of Michigan, biochemistry graduate from the University of Notre Dame, and Ph.D. in microbiology and Immunology from the University of Michigan. He founded Vaxdyn in 2011 while researching on vaccines and immunotherapies against antibiotic-resistant bacteria at the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville. Since 2018, Dr. McConnell is a principal investigator at the Unit of Nosocomial Infections at the Microbiology National Center (CNM) of the Institutes of Health Carlos III of Spain in Madrid. He has led more than 20 research projects in bacteriology, published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed international journals and filed 7 patents.

Dr. León provides the Vaxdyn’s Board of Directors with experience in biotech governance and with pharmaceutical development expertise.

Chief Scientific Officer of Provention Bio. Formerly CEO and CMO of Celimmune, VP/Head of Immunology Translational Medicine at Janssen-Johnson & Johnson, CMO of Alba Therapeutics, Director at Bristol-Myers Squibb and at MedImmune. Co-Founder of the US-based companies Celimmune (acquired by Amgen in 2017), Glutenostics (commercializes gluten-detection tests) and Provention Bio (NASDAQ: PRVB).

Dr. Pérez-Gómez is an international research reference in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases, with 50 publications cited 954 times (H index 16), 2 patents, and 30 international conferences. Her previous works were focused on studying the molecular basis of antimicrobial resistance and vaccines development. Before joining to Vaxdyn 2021 as leading scientist for delivering novel vaccine candidates based on Vaxdyn’s technology, she developed her research work at the Institute of Biomedical Research of A Coruña, Spain and Miami University (Oxford OH, USA).

Microbiologist with wide experience in protein expression in yeast and Gram-negative bacteria. Her previous work was focused on gram-negative bacterial evolution to antibiotic resistance. She studied a MsC in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from IUCT Barcelona (Inkemia Group) in 2011 and received her PhD from Universidad de Sevilla in 2019. In 2019, she joined Vaxdyn to coordinate research on vaccines development.

Bacteriologist with an extensive expertise in Outer Membrane Proteins (OMPs) expression in Gram-negative bacteria. She joined Vaxdyn in 2020 to support research in the lead development of KapaVax. She obtained her PhD. from the University of Seville and she carried out a postdoctoral work at Centro Nacional de Biotecnología (CNB-CSIC), Madrid, Spain.

Bacteriologist with an extensive experience in Bioinformatics and Microbiology and Molecular Biology techniques. She received her PhD from Univerdade da Coruña in 2021. Her research are focused on pathogenic mechanisms of Klebsiella pneuomoniae. She joined Vaxdyn recently to support research in the vaccine leads development. Master’s Degree in Clinical trial monitoring by CESIF (2020).

Biologist with experience in molecular biology and immunology techniques, as well as bacteriology and cell culture techniques. Mirella obtained her B.S. degree in Biology from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2021. Her previous work focused on the development of new therapies against Streptococcus pneumoniae biofilm, study of the mechanisms of pathogenicity and analysis of the immune response against it. She joined Vaxdyn recently to support research in the lead development KapaVax. Currently, she is finishing the Master in Microbiology applied to Public Health and Research in infectious diseases awarded by the University of Alcalá and the Instituto de Salud Carlos III

Biochemist with experience in Microbiology and Molecular Biology laboratory and scientific dissemination. Teresa Díaz obtained her B.S. degree in Biochemistry from the University of Seville in 2014 (Spain) and holf a Master’s Degree in Bio-enterprises from the University of Granada (Spain) in 2015.
