She is a freelance scientific-regulatory advisor in health biotechnology, specializing in preclinical studies of Advanced Therapy Drugs (AT) and Biologics. She has 25 years of experience promoting translational research , from public and private entities and participating in various committees and working groups of experts, which have allowed her to acquire scientific, legal and regulatory knowledge, which ensures the excellence of her services. After completing her PhD in TA (2006), she joined the leading Spanish company in Cell Therapy (Cellerix S.L., current Takeda), as Scientific Director and Quality Manager of the Culture Room. Added to this is her 7 years of experience in the first public initiative promoting this sector (the current “Andalusian Network for the Design and Translation of TA”), as Head of preclinical research and, later, as Manager of preclinical R&D, in two important Spanish biotechnology companies. Currently, she regularly collaborates with established consulting firms in the sector (Gradocell ACS, Revio pharma, Kinrel). She also teaches courses and university masters on the development of biotechnological drugs and is the author of multiple scientific, regulatory and educational texts, indexed publications, and conference communications.

Professor of Human Anatomy and Embryology (Faculty of Medicine) at the University of Granada (UGR). Corresponding Member of the Royal Academy of Medicine and Surgery of Granada since 2006 and coordinator of 2 Doctoral Programs with Quality Mention and 2 Official Master’s Degrees. He has participated in 59 national and international projects (27 as PI), in 251 publications in journals (226 in JCR) and is the author of 40 national and international books and book chapters. 36 patents, 6 of which have been licensed and has participated in the creation of 3 spin-off companies (Regemat 3D, PKR-exogenetics SL and Lentistem Biotech SL) and is a scientific advisor to Propanc Biopharma, Inc. He has four six-year research periods and one six-year transfer period accredited by the CNEA.

She has worked in leading research groups in 4 European countries (United Kingdom, Germany, Greece and Spain) under the most prestigious European programs, having obtained in total more than 700k € (4 MSCA Marie Curie, 1 European Project for SMEs and 4 proofs of concept).

Bachelor Degree in Biochemistry from the University of San Luis and PhD in Biomedicine from the University of Granada. He is the author of more than 20 scientific publications in leading oncology and analytical chemistry journals. He has supervised 3 Master’s projects and is currently supervising 2 doctoral theses. In addition, it has generated 4 patents. He is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Radiation Oncology and Liquid Biopsy group at IBS-Granada.

Completed his Ph.D. at Marques de Valdecilla University Hospital in Santander, Spain, under the supervision of Dr. José Luis Fernández Luna. He extended his research in Ferrando’s lab at Columbia University in New York and later joined Menendez’s lab at the Andalusian Stem Cell Bank in Granada, Spain. As a Miguel Servet Researcher, he became the Principal Investigator at the Gene Regulation, Stem Cells and Development lab in GENyO, Granada in 2013. Since April 2022, he serves as an Associate Professor in the Dpt. Biochemistry and Molecular Biology I at the University of Granada. Dr. Real has extensive contributions to scientific publications, international meetings, led numerous research projects and mentored graduate students, doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers. Additionally, he has participated in patents related to his research.

He has published 44 articles, 15 of them as a leader, has participated in 26 projects, 6 of them as principal investigator, and has generated five patents, he has received 6 awards.
